Glass Generator

Procedural drinking glasses with real liquids, foam and ice

Glass Generator builds photorealistic drinking glasses inside Blender, filled with real drinks: a nonic pint of lager with a foam head, a Bordeaux glass of red wine, a cut crystal tumbler of whisky on a big ice cube, a highball of cola with a lemon wheel and a straw, a Turkish tea glass, a latte glass or a frosty juice glass covered in condensation. Pick one of 39 glass types, then change anything: every part is a slider, a picture or a switch, and the glass rebuilds live while you drag.

The glass is real glass. It has true wall thickness, a heavy base with a punt, a fire polished, rolled or cut rim, and stems and feet shaped like real stemware. The drink is a separate object that fills the glass to any level with a meniscus at the wall, and its color comes from absorption through its depth, so a pint reads golden at the edge and deep amber in the middle, just like the real thing. Cycles renders real refraction, volume absorption and scattering; EEVEE gets its own tuned materials, switched automatically with the render engine.

Pour 24 drinks, from water and sparkling water to lager, IPA, wheat beer, stout, red, white and rosé wine, champagne, whisky, cognac, cola, juice, milk, coffee, tea and cocktails. Add foam, rising bubbles, ice cubes, an ice ball, crushed ice, condensation drops, a salt or sugar rim, citrus wheels, cherries, olives, mint and straws.

Pick a glass, it fills itself

Choose one of 39 glass types in the Glass tab and it arrives with its own drink, foam and ice. Every part stays editable.

Questions

Which Blender versions are supported?

Blender 4.2 and newer. It is tested on Blender 4.2, 4.5 and 5.2 LTS.

Is the drink a real separate object?

Yes. The glass has real wall thickness and the drink is its own object that fills it to any level, with foam, bubbles and ice as separate parts. In Cycles the drink absorbs light through its depth like a real liquid.

Does it work in EEVEE?

Yes. Every material has a Cycles and an EEVEE version, and the addon switches them automatically when you change the render engine. Cycles gives the most realistic glass and drinks.

Can I use the glasses in a game engine?

Yes. Convert to Mesh in the Parts tab turns the glass into plain mesh objects with simple PBR materials (base color, roughness, transmission) that export to glTF and FBX.

Can I make a glass hold an exact volume?

Yes. The card shows the capacity in ml, and Fit to Capacity in the Parts tab scales the glass to any volume you type.
