Fireworks Generator

Fireworks Generator puts real, animated fireworks into Blender. Pick one of 43 designs (peonies, chrysanthemums, willows, kamuro, palms, rings, Saturn, hearts, smileys, crossettes, strobes, crackling dragon eggs, comets, roman candles, mines and fountains), click Add, press play: the shell climbs on its rising tail, bursts with a flash and its stars fly, slow down, droop and burn out exactly like the real thing. Or add a whole timed show with a finale in one click.

Every firework follows real physics and real display rules: a 4 inch shell breaks at about 120 m and opens to about 140 m across, stars leave the break at over 100 m/s and lose that speed in air drag, heavy willow stars hang and fall, sparks sag as they age, and wind drifts them. Shell size, star count, burn time, drag, gravity, trail length, glitter, strobe, crackle, crossette splits, color change and pistil cores are all live settings.

Nothing is baked and there are no particle systems to set up. Each firework is a single light mesh recomputed for every frame, so it plays back in the viewport, renders in Cycles and EEVEE, scrubs to any frame and works with motion blur. A light follows each burst and lights water, smoke and the ground.

Requires Blender 4.2 or newer. Tested on Blender 4.2, 4.5 and 5.2 LTS.
